[Compiz] [Bug 1067174] [NEW] Aero Snap does not work
Public bug reported: "Aero Snap - Clicking and dragging a window to the right or left side of the desktop causes the window to fill the respective half of the screen. Snapping a window to the top of the desktop maximizes it. Resizing a window to touch the top or bottom edge of the screen maximizes the window to full height, whilst retaining its width; these windows will then slide horizontally if moved by the title bar, or can be pulled off, which returns the window to its original height." - wikipedia This Windows 7 feature use to work on ubuntu 12.04 out of the box. ** Summary changed: - indicate unmaximizing of app - at curser over top-panel + Window management - indicate the possibility of restoring (unmaximizing) a window by changing the pointer when it is over the menu bar ** Description changed: - The cursor should indicate that a maximized window can be grabbed down. + The cursor should indicate that a maximized window can be grabbed and + dragged downwards in order to restore (unmaximise) the window. [Compiz] [Bug 776435] Re: Window maximizes on the wrong workspace
Fix committed into lp:compiz at revision 3417, scheduled for release in Compiz 0.9.9.0. I'm sure this fix will go into compiz 0.9.8 and 0.9.7 eventually. However I recommend we give the initial fix in 0.9.9 more time to mature. It's in the middle of some very sensitive code so I want to make sure there are no regressions before the fix gets backported. ** Also affects: compiz/0.9.8 Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: compiz/0.9.8 Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: compiz/0.9.8 Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/776435 Title: Window maximizes on the wrong workspace To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/776435/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
