2012-11-28 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Won't fix in quantal. Distro rejects all massive code reshuffles like
this. Someone would have to dissect 100_expo_layout.patch and
find/remove the exact section causing this bug.

[Compiz] [Bug 973559] Re: gtk-window-decorator is exiting immediately (or crashing?)

2012-11-28 Thread Marcel
Hi everyone,

I am experiencing this bug also, since today (i'm not sure if it is
after an update, or just a crash / freeze of the system), but the only
way to have window decoration is gnome+no effect. However, there is
also the icons of libreoffice suite that are really strange now (with
fluo colors !)

Don't really know how I can help to trace this bug for you, if
interested, just tell me.

Sincerely

julien

[Compiz] [Bug 1084277] [NEW] Display freezes when dragging windows while GL program is active

2012-11-28 Thread Alistair Buxton
Public bug reported:

To reproduce:

1. Start glxgears or similar.
2. Attempt to drag a window.

At best, the window will lag behind the mouse pointer by 2-3 seconds. At
worst it can freeze the display totally until you stop dragging the
window.

The odd thing about this is that glxgears claims to be running at 60FPS
the whole time, even when the screen does not update for several
seconds.

Also, the size of the glxgears window does not matter. Even a tiny GL
window locks compiz completely.

This is almost certainly a problem related to nvidia binary driver. I'm
using 310.

Video of bug happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wioiW72BiqE

This is probably a regression of #764330. Opening a new bug as requested

[Compiz] [Bug 787814] Re: Compiz Opacify Not Working After Upgrade to 11.04

2012-11-28 Thread Reuben
Ubuntu 12.10 - Same issue, only works with windows opened when toggled
(which would explain why it doesn't seem like it is enabled at login, as
there are no windows opened).

This bug is over a year old and still nothing? Really? :( I suppose it
isn't a huge deal, but it sure is a nice feature that makes life easier.
