[Compiz] [Bug 1131361] [NEW] Alt+Tab stopped working after upgrade to 12.10
You have been subscribed to a public bug: I recently upgraded from PP to QQ which broke the ability to switch between running applications by pressing Alt+Tab. The affected host is a ThinkPad X61s. I don't know if this is of any relevance but I think Unity/Compiz is running on/in LLVM. Until now I tried several countermeasures in any combination imaginable to fix this: 1. bound, unbound and rebound the Settings/Keyboard/Shortcuts/Navigation/Switch applications key over and over again 2. massive amount of reboots 3. activated, deactivated, reactivated switchers and set, unset, reset plugins and their key bindings - even other ones as Alt+Tab - in ccsm under 3.1 Unity Plugin 3.2 Window Mgmt - Application switcher and Static application switcher 4. deactivated Alt as a hotkey for the HUD 5. even switching keyboard layouts It may be worth mentioning that the Alt keys themselves are working as shown by xev. I can access the application menu, too. What makes me wonder is the fact that I can get the HUD by tapping Alt_R but not by pressing Alt_L (so I tried removing the HUD key binding which as stated didn't help). App switching itself is not possible using either Alt key. This behaviour is the same using the internal keyboard as well as a bluetooth one. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment compiz keyboard shortcuts switcher unity -- Alt+Tab stopped working after upgrade to 12.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131361 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Bug has partially been resolved in LO 4.0.0.3. Version 4.0.0.3 (Build ID: 7545bee9c2a0782548772a21bc84a9dcc583b89) Ubuntu 13.04 Raring 64 Bit. Open Dialogue Window does not overlap any more when checkbox is checked in CompizConfigSettings manager for maximised windows under the Window Rules Option. The WIndow is fully maximised with Unity Integration in LibreOffice, and it remembers its maximised state in the application. The problem is that this only occurs when it is checked using CompizConfigSettings Manager, can this now be constructed as being the default process for Open and Save Dialogue windows that are maximised in Ubuntu? Without having to check the maximised windows option in CompizConfigSettings Manager, so that they may have full unity integration on the display monitor. I would also like to escalate this query to other programs within Ubuntu, as it has the same maximise issue for open and save dialogue windows in programs such as Rhythmbox, and Evince Document Viewer. I know that when you set CCSM to maximise windows specifically for the open dialog box window in libreoffice, you cannot resize the window because it has manually been set to maximise everytime it is opened. to solve that problem of not resizing the window would be to untick or disable maximise windows in CompizConfigSettings Manager, to be able to resize windows again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1097089 Title: debconf gtk+ dialog boxes do not remember window sizes on ubuntu. [Compiz] [Bug 1131501] [NEW] Hot corners fire off repeatedly with touchpad
Public bug reported: On my MacBook Pro 8,2 running Ubuntu 13.04, hot corners seem to fire off multiple times when only scrolling over to them once. If the bottom right corner is set to trigger Scale, scrolling over to the bottom right corner triggers Scale to be opened and closed numerous times in very quick succession rather than just opening/closing once. (Scrolling over to the corner more slowly generally causes more triggers.) Triggering the Unity Dash does not exhibit this behavior. [Compiz] [Bug 1097089] Re: debconf gtk+ dialog boxes do not remember window sizes on ubuntu.
Screencast of Dialog Box Window in a proper maximised state always. Compiz Settings Manager Window Size Rule as Maximum always keeps the window maximised and it cannot be resized unless the window size rule is disabled and switched off. ** Attachment added: Screencast of Dialog Box Window in a proper maximised state always. https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+bug/1097089/+attachment/3541059/+files/libreoffice%20maximise%20always.ogv -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1097089 Title: debconf gtk+ dialog boxes do not remember window sizes on ubuntu.
