that I have no Wobbly Windows. If I log in choosing Ubuntu -- is that
loading the Unity Shell? -- as is the default for a fresh installation
of Raring Ringtail -- I have no Wobbly Windows despite setting the
checkmark active in Compiz-Manager.

2013-04-15 Thread Dallman Ross
It's a shame we can't edit these posts. The coffee bug hit me hard
just now. I meant to write something else just above. I wanted to say:

It's in GNOME Shell 3.6.3.1 that I have no Wobbly Windows. (That is my
default under a fresh Raring Ringtail beta2 installation.) If I log in
choosing Ubuntu -- is that loading the Unity Shell? -- I DO have

I will now go have coffee. Thank you. :-)

[Compiz] [Bug 735162] Re: menu application appears behind window application

2013-04-15 Thread Mike
This is really annoying. Happens on both of my fully-updated 12.04 LTS
workstations every-other week or so.

I tried compiz --replace but it isn't reliable. Sometimes leaves me with no
window boarders and no way to recover the desktop. Best solution I found was to
kill the desktop with:
Alt + PrintScr + K
Not elegant, but works.

[Compiz] [Bug 1155542] Re: compiz (opengl) - Error: FBO is incomplete: GL::FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_ATTACHMENT (0x8cd6)

2013-04-15 Thread Andrea Amoroso
I then solved my problem creating a new user and logging in Unity, so the
problem was in my user configurations, gnome, unity, ecc. (sudo adduser
myNewUser). There, with the new user I backed up some of the configurations
present in the home of my old user and tried to log in with the old one and
managed to do it.
It was a bit hard, but the new Unity is really great.. :D
