Ok thank you, Can you check that you're using Compiz? ( I have nvidia-chipset with optimus / CUDA ) - and am frightened to uninstall nvidia-current . . . cause then it smashes my whole installation at the wall ... it is strange that nvidia-driver (of ubuntu) leaves xorg.conf - file empty ??? and nvidia-driver-specific file for xorg.conf has different name ??? [Compiz] [Bug 1181165] Re: bold black background in low-bottom of dock
Hello Matthieu, problem is solved !!! to your luck - it is NOT a bug of compiz or of cairo-dock. it was really because of insufficient graphic-chip support by nvidia- driver. I just had again almost cramp because of nvidia-driver - there are 2 different possibilities of driver the package: NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-310.51.run ( which is general for several GFORCE-xxxM-cards (notebook) and NVIDIA_CUDA_SDK_1.1_Beta_Linux.run ( which is THE RIGHT PACKAGE in my case - hybrid chipset GFORCE with CUDA and Optimus ... ) wow ! solved 3 things at one time ! compiz works cairo works - black balcony disappeared ! and wobbly effect and full animations . . . breath-taking ! - gasp - gasp - gasp ! so you can lean back ! compiz is correct and cairo-dock is correct ! cheers and happy coding ! dschinn1001 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181165 Title: bold black background in low-bottom of dock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-core/+bug/1181165/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
