[Compiz] [Bug 1072206] Re: [nvidia] Window content is black or transparent
This bug is still present for me. (up-to-date 14.04, nvidia-331, gtx 770 4gb) If I minimize a window and then switch to it with alt-tab, it will come up black *every time*. However, I found out today that if I disable *just* the un-minimize animation using unity-tweak-tool, the problem goes away. Minimize animation is still on and the windows still turn black during the minimize animation, but when I restore them, they don't come up black. Perhaps this is due to some broken interaction between the nvidia driver and the way compiz handles texture transformations of windows. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072206 Title: [nvidia] Window content is black or transparent To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1072206/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Compiz] [Bug 1304531] Re: Removing an external monitor will move a maximized window to the current workspace
I think the problem has re-appeared :-( I rebooted 16 days ago and can see that 18 days ago (2014-07-18) there was a compiz update compiz-core:amd64 (0.9.11.1+14.04.20140701-0ubuntu1, 0.9.11.2+14.04.20140714-0ubuntu1) [plus related] What I've noticed in the past week is that windows are starting to show up where they aren't meant to be. ie it's collapsing in on itself again, exactly the same as my bug report in 1321221 (ie going from laptop to docking station-with-monitor and visa/versa triggers it) Could the patch have been reversed out? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1304531 Title: Removing an external monitor will move a maximized window to the current workspace To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1304531/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Compiz] [Bug 741869] Re: Unity/compiz intercepts Super and Alt keypresses from grabbed windows like VMs.
This bug needs to be fixed for those of us that don't use unity and only rely on gnome-shell. The problem seems to have been diagnosed to compiz, and thus the fix should be focused there so that it's not unnecessarily tied to unrelated packages (i.e. unity, as was the fix mentioned above). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/741869 Title: Unity/compiz intercepts Super and Alt keypresses from grabbed windows like VMs. To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/741869/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
