[Compiz] [Bug 801099] [NEW] Compiz Cube with VBlank ON and dragging windows
Public bug reported: Sorry about my english. I have VBlank turned ON, nvidia 275 drivers, in compiz also VBlank turned ON with refresh rate manually set to 60Hz. Animations is smooth, FPS always around 60. And I have turned ON plugin 'Cube' without effects like 3d or transparent. When I want drag window to next side of cube, animations is still smooth, but like slow-motion. Dragging window to next side takes ~15 seconds. When VBlank is OFF, there is no slow-motion effect. I wanted to record the problem, but with VBlank i have artifacts on video and barely see slow motion effect. 1) 11.04 2) Compiz 0.9.4, nVidia 275.09.07 3) With VBlank ON animation should take same time as with VBlank OFF 4) Animation with VBlank OFF is smooth and fast, with VBlank ON is smooth and very slow, about 15 seconds. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801099 Title: Compiz Cube with VBlank ON and dragging windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/801099/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Compiz] [Bug 753144] Re: focused, or maximized windows blank
Happened always when maximize windows with option "Keep previews of minimized windows" turned ON in Workaround plugin in compiz. Also I didn't see that previewing minimized windows works (Ubuntu 11.04 and Mint 11), so I turned this off and for now I didn't see white window. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/753144 Title: focused, or maximized windows blank To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/753144/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Compiz] [Bug 770160] Re: windows start to move slow after using compiz for some hours
Ok, sorry for my English. I make some tests with miscellaneous compiz configurations. On my nVidia GTX 260 (Gold series, 216 cores, offical nvidia drivers) with enabled VBlank and refresh rate 120Hz (monitor refresh rate x2) compiz works good until: - run browser (Firefox). FPS when dragging windows drops down after serval minutes. - try to group windows. No matter if I only group, or tabbling it, FPS drop down immediately for all windows, not only for grouped/tabbled. - turn off option "Lazy Positioning" in Drag Window plugin configuration. I think this bug have connection with XServer and refreshing windows coordinates on it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/770160 Title: windows start to move slow after using compiz for some hours To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/770160/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Compiz] [Bug 732050] Re: Dual display blanks both screens . Can only see the cursor
For me it also does not work, when I boot up with both screens turned on. [Compiz] [Bug 732050] Re: Dual display blanks both screens . Can only see the cursor
Same here. I have a ThinkPad X201 and a Dell 24" display connected via DisplayPort to the X200 UltraBase. I can log into Unity without a problem but when trying to change the resolution, I get a blank screen. But I can "solve" the problem by running this in terminal: xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode 1920x1080 --preferred --primary --output LVDS1 --off --output DP1 --off Then the resolution on the external display will change to 1920x1080 and the internal display will shut down. Have you already tried something like that? It is not a very good solution, because sometimes I get some minor temporary graphics failures shortly after running this command and I have to run it every time I log in (otherwise one could add it to the list of commands, that are run at startup). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/732050 Title: Dual display blanks both screens .
