[Compiz] [Bug 2009290] Re: flashback session crashed and required log out

2023-03-17 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Since the package referred to in this bug is in universe or
multiverse, it is community maintained. If you are able, I suggest
coordinating with upstream and posting a debdiff for this issue. When a
debdiff is available, members of the security team will review it and
publish the package. See the following link for more information:

This is because gnome-screensaver can't grab keyboard or mouse if
another application has the grab. It's an unfortunate design limitation
of xorg, and is a dupe of bug 49579.

2012-04-23 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Ah, yes, I can reproduce this reliably now with berli's method in
comment #10. Here are my steps:

1- Open meld, place on bottom left corner of bottom left workspace (workspace
#3)
2- Switch to Workspace 1
3- Click on meld icon in launcher
4- Meld window is now half-way between workspace 2 and Workspace 1.

[Compiz] [Bug 936958] Re: Nautilus is now placing desktop icons far away from the launcher

2012-02-22 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Actually, looking at this a bit closer, this _is_ in fact a nautilus
issue.

It is caused by the 02_additional_marge_for_unity.patch in nautilus that
assumes (incorrectly) that the unity launcher is always 66 pixels wide:

+#define UNITY_LAUNCHER_WIDTH 66

+   if (under_unity_session  (x == UNITY_LAUNCHER_WIDTH))

Since the default launcher size has changed, and is now ajustable in
g-c-c, this assumption is wrong.

[Compiz] [Bug 939228] [NEW] Windows randomly changing workspaces

2012-02-22 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Public bug reported:

For the past week and a half or so, when switching between workspaces,
all of a sudden a window gets moved to a different workspace.

For example, I'll have a couple of windows on workspace 1 and a couple
of windows on workspace 2, and switching between them, all of a sudden,
one of my windows is now located on workspace 3, underneath the unity
launcher for no apparent reason.

This wasn't happening a couple of weeks ago, and now happens multiple
times a day.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu

issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.

Binary package hint: compiz

Since upgrading to natty, when I move a window from one workspace to

4- Go to Workspace 2
