I can confirm that this broke sometime between the 20121129 and 20121202 image if that helps. I don't have the interim images handy at the moment but if I can dig them up somewhere, I'll try to test with those as well. That bug is 2 months old, and this is a new bug that seems to have just started in the last couple of days. I can confirm that this also happens in virtualox.
