2013-09-17 Thread Alberto Salvia Novella
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather
debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 769145
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and
the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality
at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

[Compiz] [Bug 769145] Re: In the workspace switcher the application fall under the workspace

2012-12-05 Thread Anders Aagaard
Any reason this is marked as low priority? I'd argue that any bug that
is easily reproducable on a stock setup which can cause windows to
disapear without being accessable is a rather big deal. Especially since
for a rookie user you'd click on the application icon and the window
would not reapear, and the application would not relaunch.

2012-02-15 Thread Anders Aagaard
After I enabled dragging windows between workspaces, (which eases my
workflow a lot), I run into this VERY frequently. I just now realized
how I keep accidentally loosing windows, (that I can see running in the
unity launcher).

  Binary package hint: unity

  hi,

- When we click the workspace switcher , we can move a application 'under' a
workspace.
- 1) start 1 application on the top left or the top right workspace
- 2) click the workspace switcher
- 3) drag the window up while the windows top doesn't get under workspace.
- 4) now stop dragging and get the application top again the botton left/right
workspace and try drag the top workspace
+ When we click the workspace switcher , we can move a application 'under'
+ a workspace.
+
+ 1. open a terminal in the top workspace(left/right, doesn't matter)
+ 2. press super+s or click on the workspace switcher.
+ 3. drag the window up so that part of it gets visible in the bottom
workspace. drop window there.
+ 4. come down to the bottom workspace.
+ 5. drag that window up from the bottom workspace to top workspace.
+
+ see the magic.

  I attached a video.
