[CGUYS] .org sites

2008-02-04 Thread Jay Montero
I am wondering how one goes about getting a domain with a ".org" url.
I am looking for one for a small non-profit volunteer group.

There's no approval process; just get one.

These days, many hosts will throw in the name for free with your hosting
package so you may just want to sign up with a host and then get the name
with them.

I do/did own a number of dot orgs, including slawecki.org,ppiusa.org,
photoframes.org, thegerald.org and a bunch more. did them on godaddy as it was
easy and i had an account. i think most of them have expired, as i did not use
them. you can also register to foreign countries, if you really want a special
site and it is not available in the net, org, com,

Register it!

It is that easy. There are no longer checks to see if you are non
profit or not, and many non profits have abandoned them.

go to www.directnic.com check and see if it is available and pay for it.
