Re: [CGUYS] gmail inbox
If you are talking about your posts to CGUYS, I don't know how to make it stop associating your posts/replies with other replies into a "conversation". Besides, they are still in your Sent Mail label. On Wed, Feb 20, 2008 at 10:40 PM, Tony B <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Cool. But now my cguys label is filled with my own sent mail. Cool. But now my cguys label is filled with my own sent mail. How can I get all those out of there without deleting them? Re: [CGUYS] gmail inbox
I'm not seeing that. There are 6 options in the filters dialog, none of which is "remove inbox label". Closest might be "Skip the Inbox(Archive it)". Could that really be it? Coming from Eudora/tbird I saw 'archiving' as something else entirely and would never have thought to use that option without *reading* email first! But if true, I'll change all my filters at once. It's always seemed odd to me I couldn't emulate my old filters better. Re: [CGUYS] gmail inbox
I guess I wasn't clear. I meant that if you use a filter today with your mail client, it moves the message out of the Inbox and into a message folder, say the CGUYS folder. You can make it seem like the exact same thing in Gmail by setting up a filter to put a label of CGUYS on the messages and take off the Inbox label. Now it isn't showing up in your Inbox, only under the CGUYS label. And yes, if you simply take off the Inbox label, you can't easily browse through the list of messages. You then have to search to find it. On Wed, Feb 20, 2008 at 7:36 AM, Tony B <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I didn't know that was an optional label. [CGUYS] gmail inbox
I didn't know that was an optional label. But if I turn it off, where is my unclassified mail going to sit? Don't even suggest "All Mail" because that would be a real chore to sift through! > If you are lazy, you can still use Gmail labels like filters.
