Good to see that someone has beaten some sense into the marketing trolls at MS finally. It was a mistake to position the Zune at the same price point as the iPod. You don't take on the 8000 lb, firmly entrenched gorilla with only an FM radio and the undefined and untested "social" to differentiate your product. Amazon was showing the price (accidentally, it seems--it's gone now) as $290 for the 32gig, which at the time was $110 under what they were charging for the 32GB Touch ($400).
