bq. I understood that we don't have any way to retrieve the single content ID
from each single call of this interface for each content, is it right?

I think you mean, "is there anything that gets called in ManifoldCF for every
document returned by Solr, to check to see whether it is visible"? The answer
to that is a qualified no, because that approach by itself would be enormously
expensive in cases where only a few documents out of millions were visible for
the user. While I've been thinking about proposing a mechanism that would
allow document-by-document access checking, but it would have to be viewed as a
secondary mechanism, never a primary one.

I don't know enough about Alfresco's security model to know whether or not
there is any way of retrieving user acls, which would potentially allow it to
support security.

Meanwhile I'm thinking about how to improve the CMIS Authority Connector.
I understood that we don't have any way to retrieve the single content ID from
each single call of this interface for each content, is it right?

If we had a way to have the availability of the single content ID in the
Authority Connector, please show me the right way.

Because for CMIS we have the same repository for contents and authorities.

The same feature could be very useful for a new potential Alfresco Connector
that could be implemented using some Alfresco specific features (select
contents using aspects, Lucene, XPath, Alfresco FTS, CMIS SQL, etc...).

I don't think that there are some new improvements on ACLs, here the release
notes:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12310936&version=12316542

In this new version we found the patch for the OpenCMIS InMemory server that is
useful for our integration tests, because now we are using a SNAPSHOT version
of that artifact. This fix was reported by me during the implementation of the
integration tests.

The CMIS domain model describe ACLs only for a specific content and not for a
specific user, anyway I have to take a look at the source code of this latest
version and try to solve in another way. I agree that the Authority Connector
should be improved.

I hope to find some time to spend on this issue the next week.

Are there any new capabilities as far as user ACLs are concerned? We need to
keep abreast of developments in that area.
