Ant projects , project depencies

2005-12-08 Thread Matthias Lau
Hello,

I've installed continuum 1.0.1.I added some ant projects but I was not able
to add dependencies. The form at the project view page has not button or
something else.
How to add project dependencies for ant projects ?

Matthias

Re: adding ant project - how to specify the build-target?

2005-12-08 Thread Emmanuel Venisse

You can specify by adding a new build definition in project view :
From summary page ("Show Projects"), click on your project name, then in build definition part,
click on "Add" button.

Add your info in this screen.

In 1.0.2, you'll have a default build definition attach to ant project, and build definition view
will be more usable for ant projects. Actually, you must define in :

- Pom filename => build.xml
- arguments => ant arguments
- goals => targets

Hey all,
in the Help i found the folowing:

Adding Ant Projects
When adding Ant projects you have to specify the project's name, SCM URL,
version and the targets to execute.
NOTE: The SCM URL is a Maven SCM URL. Here's an example of what an SCM URL
looks like: scm:svn:http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/continuum/trunk

If I add a new ANT Projekt, i can setup the following:

Project Name - Enter the project name
Version - Enter the version of the project
Scm Url - Enter the Maven SCM URL
Scm Username - Enter the scm username
Scm Password - Enter the scm password
Scm Branch/Tag

But where can I "specify the targets to execute"

In the "Show Projects" Viuew, there is also no way to do this.

AW: AW: Ant projects , project depencies

2005-12-08 Thread Matthias Lau
Hello,

yes , the problem is that I have several modules in cvs. I added them to the
project page.
These several modules have to be build in a specific order. I hoped that it
will be possible to solve my problem by adding dependencies. Then I will
start my build in a way that the projects will be build in the correct order
as defined by the dependencies.

we'll release 1.0.2 this week
1.1 final will be for Q1 2006 with some alpha/beta before.

Why do you need to add some dependencies? I suppose it's for linking your
projects and build them in the correct order.

yes, it will solve your problem.

I'm not sure we have an issue in jira for this, but it's in my head. Please,
file an issue for this.

RE: Strange 2401 prepended to SCM URL

2005-12-08 Thread Mayorgaadame, Alex
I know that, but why it is being prepended to the CVS repository location??

Anyhow it's not possible to checkout the project from the CVS.

Alex

That's the default port for cvs.

Hello all,

I've just uploaded my Maven 1 project.xml but for some weird reason I'm
getting this:

Provider message: The cvs command failed.
Command output:

---
2401/export1/cvsrep/cibos: no such repository
cvs checkout: authorization failed: server gcatfs1d.ny.ssmb.com rejected
access to 2401/export1/cvsrep/cibos for user anonymous
cvs checkout: used empty password; try "cvs login" with a real password

---

the scm url is fine in the project descriptor, as this:

scm:cvs:pserver:anonymous:@gcatfs1d.ny.ssmb.com:/export1/cvsrep/cibos:esf

Where did that 2401 came from??

Thanks,
Alex Mayorga Adame

Looks to me like you're missing the : after the 2401 in the scm url in
your project.xml

Something that surprised me at first about continuum was that after
getting hold of your project once it blithely ignores what you told it
in the configuration and tries to use the scm url in the project xml
(which may not be correct if you don't have the same network setup as
the person who wrote that project.xml). So you put the scm url into
continuum and it works once, but never again.

The colon after the (optional) port no. isn't actually required by
command line cvs if you have a leading slash, but that's not what its
man page says and most other cvs tools follow the documentation. I'm
guessing that you actually put in '2401/' not '2401:/' into the url
you used to configure continuum, and it's interpreted it per the man
page, or you didn't put it there and you've been suckered by it being
pulled in from your project.xml. Check both places and add a : if
required.

Hope this helps
Baz

Perforce provider generates error

2005-12-08 Thread Stone, Robert
Hi,

Running continuum-1.0.1 on Linux, Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment,
Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_08-b03)

I've added maven-scm-provider-perforce-1.0-beta-3-SNAPSHOT.jar to
/opt/continuum-1.0.1/apps/continuum/lib.

After I restart continuum and attempt to access the site the following
exception is generated which is displayed in browser and duplicated in
the log file
