[Callers] Re: Really fun and accessible triple minors?

I enjoy Bob's Triplet #1 for the reasons Victor stated, but I will note
that it's a triplet rather than a triple minor. Depending on the crowd, a
triplet may be more appropriate. It certainly can run shorter, say 9x
rather than 13-15 times through for a triple minor.

I highly recommend “Bob’s Triplet #1” by Bob Dalsemer. It is easy enough for
beginner’s and it is a wonderful way to teach Contra corners, and I love the
inclusion of some traditional moves such as sashaying.

Enjoy!

Hi All,

Thanks so much for the various triple minor ideas... ... I've been digging
into them a bit tonight and I've got LOTS to learn before I call any of
them. Excited by a few of them though. :)

I really appreciate it!.Now to work them up at a house dance!

It's probably a version of Good Times by Al Olson. Instructions from The
Caller's Box:

A1: (16) Dip and dive 6 to place (twos arch, ones dive to begin)

A2: (4) [Ones and twos] Neighbor balance || Threes balance
(12) [Ones and twos] Neighbor swing || Threes swing

B1: (16) [All six] Circle left 1

B2: (8) In long lines, go forward and back
(8) Partner do-si-do (in center)

Sackett's Harbor is a fun triple minor. No swings, but there are contra
corners.

Hey contra calling friends :)

I have an admission ... ... ... I have NO triple minors in my card box.  I've
been doing certain kinds of gigs (contras + ONS + contra/square nights) and
it's so easy not to call triple minors.

HOWEVER, I'm lately trying to 'up my game' to expand my repertoire.

Might you have a favourite triple minor you could share?
I'm looking for dances that are SUPER fun and relatively accessible.

Thoughts?
Thanks for the consideration!
