Hi, Bernhard Rosenkraenzer wrote: Kernels from 2.2.13-pre4 to 2.2.13-3 do not recognize the software raid partitions, giving the error "Invalid Argument". This happened before, with previous versions of the kernel; I do not remember well, but I think it was with 2.2.10. And new raidtools had to be used. I installed 2.2.13-4 It doesn't change anything about raid. I'll have a look at it. While you're at it, please make sure the support for DAC960 RAID controller (http://www.dandelion.com/Linux/DAC960.html) is built in the installed kernel. With Mandrake 6, it gets recognized during installation process, being loaded as a module. But being loaded as a module doesn't help later, when you have to boot from your RAID system drive... ;-) Thanks! [Cooker] panoramix
Rick Collette [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: where exactly does the problem seem to stem from? My original problem was the compss file.. are there any other problems that anyone has run into? Sorry, cassini/helios/6.1 takes some time :-( Now a working panoramix should be there. It handles russian and japaneese :) (well the translations for these are just tests) cu Pixel.
RE: [Cooker] off-topic?
I know this is way out there.. and I dont want to start a thread on this, if anyone knows where sun hides thier resolv.conf equivilant.. could they shoot me the path? (If this irks anyone, I apologize...)
RE: [Cooker] off-topic?
Well... I looked at a Solaris Sparc 10, and there is (who would guess?) a nice resolv.conf file in the /etc directory. --- kelk1 From: Rick Collette [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: "'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Cooker] off-topic? is /Mandrake/base/mdkinst_stage2.gz supposed to be 2.7MB? I tested displaying japanese, chinese (Big5), russian, ukrainian, armenian, greek, vietnamese, georgian and of course iso-8859-1 and iso-8859-2. And all went ok.
