?

mouse is needed very early.
keyboard is asked after the question upgrade/install, so what?
which others?

the other one may be scsi, but that's not very simple...

[Cooker] Hard disk upgrade fails

1999-12-10 Thread jwd

I fmirrored the cooker install, ran genhdlist, created a harddisk boot
disk. I was trying to upgrade from 6.1 to cooker. It failed because the
hard disk that contains all the RPMs is unmounted after the list of
packages are determined and the actual install begins.

This is the exact same error that I reported as Cassini error #108.

Jim Drash

ps. the new graphical install is very attractive. You are on the right
track. A suggestion might be to ask about install or upgrade earlier so
the program could find out informatio about the existing keyboard,
mouse, and others.

[Cooker] qt needs lesstif? since when??

1999-12-10 Thread Stefan van der Eijk

Hi,

I was suprised to see the following output of the recently updated
qt package:

error: failed build dependencies:
lesstif is needed by qt-1.44-15mdk
Installing /mirrors/mandrake-devel/SRPMS/qt-1.44-15mdk.src.rpm

hmmm... This isn't mentioned in the changelog (only that qt didn't
depend on lesstif).

Is this a mistake or meant to be??

greetings,

Stefan

[Cooker] Netscape

1999-12-10 Thread A.Sleep

OK,

I was gonna start working on those pesky installer themes :) but netscape is
dead.

first I got an error that a lib wasn't there (some 2.7 / 2.8
incompatibility).
I'm not at the PC now and cannot remember the name.

I rpm -e the netscape rpms and reinstalled them with --force hoping that
would work.

Now we get:

/usr/lib/netscape/netscape-communicator: error loading shared libraries:
undefined symbol: __eh_pc

Ideas?
