[Cooker] [Bug 4088] [drakxtools] ADSL connection
http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4088 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-27-06 22:40 --- I opened a new report wrt latest version, because I was afraid that bug 4050 with reference to an older version (9.1) might go ignored (and also given the scope of the bug, it seemed important to get it noticed). Seems like I was right, the 4050 has still not been looked at. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: RESOLVED creation_date: description: * Please look at bug# 4050 and confirm that it has been fixed. * Also, it might be important to get it into errata for 9.1 so that adsl users can connect to internet. -RK

[Cooker] [Bug 4050] [drakxtools] New: Errors in pppoe.conf, netcnx_up files
http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4050 Product: drakxtools Component: DrakConnect Summary: Errors in pppoe.conf, netcnx_up files Product: drakxtools Version: 9.1-0.10mdk Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: DrakConnect AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi, Using Mdk 9.1 power-pck on Amd Athlon pc. I have 2 ethernet cards in my system. One (eth1) used for connecting to my adsl modem and the other (eth0) for connection sharing. Connecting to internet didn't work for me, and I figured the files pppoe.conf, netcnx_up had errors: file netcnx_up -- #!/bin/bash /sbin/route del default LC_ALL=C LANG=C LANGUAGE=C LC_MESSAGES=C /usr/sbin/adsl-start eth1 (using module via-rhine) [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- file The text (using module via-rhine) was giving the error. Same problem with pppoe.conf. Strangely, 9.1 RC2 did *not* have this problem. -Rohit -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
[Cooker] [Bug 3085] [kdebase] Konqueror doesn't create thumbnails for PS/PDF files
http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3085 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-10 19:27 --- +Kword previews This may be a similar bug. I am using Mdk 9.1 rc2 (fresh install). For me, PS/PDF and Kword previews also don't work. Konq keeps refreshing the icon view, and the icons continue blinking, even if stop button is hit. -RK --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Even with PostScript and PDF files checked under View / Preview, I can't convince Konqueror to create thumbnails for PS/PDF files. Previews for all other filetypes work fine, and pre-existing thumbnails for PS/PDF files are still displayed correctly, but for a new PS/PDF file I always just get the static icon. The files I am using to test range from 60-200k and display fine in kghostview. My system is Cooker with all packages fully upgraded from 9.0. The problem still exists if I create a new user.
[Cooker] [Bug 1894] [Hardware] startx + Periodic X crashes
https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1894 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-02-20 20:07 --- Problem 2 Solved Adding noapic to lilo.conf stopped the periodic X crashes. The system is rock-solid now, everything works fine. Correctly detected cdrw/cdrom (Mdk 9.0 had problem with that) I hope noapic is made default with an option during install for those who might need it, plus a warning that it may render the system unstable. --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Using Mdk 9.1-rc1 on Athlon XP 2000+, Via KT4V (via kt400 chipset) mainboard, Geforce4 Mx grapcics card. Following issues with X: 1. During installation, graphics card was detected fine and I selected NOT to start X at boot. When I logged in and typed startx, X failed. Using su to login as root and then starting X worked okay, and there after logging in as a user also started X. 2. X keeps crashing periodically... using startx to start X (defaults to KDE) all the control (keyboard/mouse) is lost and have to hard boot. If X is started on startup (choosing Gnome), X does crash periodically, but moving the mouse, restarts X sending me back to the login screen
