Still happens as of 03/17/03 with latest updates. kdebase is still at 3.1-83 and
creating a
directory on the desktop, opening the trashcan or the Removable Media still all cause
the error message.

Problem is still persisting with the latest kdebase-3.1-83.
Double clicking the removable media icon, the Trash icon, creating a new directory and
double clicking on it all cause the error to appear.

Yup. Still happening as of latest cooker today, friday 03/07
with galaxy-kde-kwin-0.2-11mdk galaxy-kde-0.2-11mdk

This problem was not present in mdk-9.1rc2.

Start up kde for the 1st time. Then start a konqueror window which displays the page:
file:/usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html.
Go down for the button for Search the web. The button for clicking shows no text !!
In fact there are several such buttons on https://qa.mandrakesoft.com itself where the
text
color matches the button color making the text totally invisible. Konqueror is
unusable, so
much so that reporting this bug itself was a big pain. For example, the commit
button under
this test window does not show the text commit.
