I totally support that ! Right now only rpmdrake can show you this type of information. And urpmf --description doesn't count, try to get the description for the package "bc" or "kernel" to get an idea... :-) I think it could be added to urpmq (instead of urpmi). Actually I'm looking for something like "apt-cache show". Aurélien - -- http://gauret.free.fr If you use enveloppes, why not encryption ? Re: [Cooker] Re: URPMI in the spotlight, was: question on ftp sites
> Software > Manager/rpmdrake/whatever should have the full functionality of URPMI > IMHO. AFAIK, it does not as of now. Yeah, and what annoys me is that the urpm tools don't have all the functionnality of rpmdrake as well ! For example, try to display the description of the package "kernel", or "bc", on the command line. You'll see what I mean. It would be great to be able to print information about a package, and especially of a particular package. I think this could be added to urpmq instead of urpmf. Hope it will be done for 9.2 ! :-) :-) Aurélien
Re: [Cooker] XMMS status plugin (contrib) crash
> Try this version: > http://wwwtec.informatik.uni-rostock.de/~waschk/xmms-status-plugin-1.0-2mdk >.i586.rpm Bad news : this time, it cashed the plugin, but xmms keeps playing. And by the way, it also crashed GnomeICU's notification icon (but the process still runs). It looks to me like it crashes KDE's support for Gnome's notification area. I'll report that to the author, but he doesn't seem to be a big fan of KDE... Aurélien

[Cooker] KDE's Kicker Transparency doesn't follow the backgrounds rotation
I have a transparent kicker (coming from keramik I think), and I also use KDE's multiple desktop backgrounds. Kicker doesn't reload its background when the main one changes. On the contrary, Konsole does it perfectly. regards, gauret
[Cooker] mkisofs & k3b
Hi. I have recently burnt a cd with K3B, and in one of my directories on the CD, there is a "dummydir" folder, and a text file containing the TOC for mkisofs. If I go in the dummydir folder, I can browse the whole cd tree again. It is really weird. A friend of mine has had the same problem with xcdroast, so I think it may come from mkisofs. Anybody ever heard of that ? cheers gauret
