Re: [Cooker] MakeCD is broken - so if problem database

2003-08-15 Thread Chris McBrien
Hi Duncan,

That's a really good point. However an ls of that directory shows
Spec.pm and the subdirectory Spec. Looks like it didn't get removed or
anything. So I'm still not sure why the MakeCD script is failing.

Keep in mind that slocate doesn't use a "live" view of the system, but rather,
a view from the last time the db update for it was run (by default from a
crontab script entry under daily and weekly, here). Thus, if you are
updating your system, it may be that was removed but the slocate db hasn't
been updated to reflect that, yet.

It's not supposed to report an error. It's supposed to tell you what
package it's in. If it didn't find it, then it means you have some
packages missing:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ urpmf NCopy.pm
perl-File-NCopy:/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1/File/NCopy.pm

Can't locate File/NCopy.pm in @INC (@INC contains:..

It's there if you install the rpm:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ find /work/Mandrake-devel -name perl-File-NCopy*
/work/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS/perl-File-NCopy-0.32-8mdk.noarch.rpm
It is in Main, so if your urpmf doesn't show it, then it seems something
is amiss with your urpm database. Run a urpmi.update -a.

'urpmf NCopy.pm', install that package that it says it's in, then rerun
your command.
It is looking in the correct directory according to the search paths you
pasted.

[Cooker] Building cooker CDs

2003-08-14 Thread Chris McBrien
Tried to make CDs from cooker updated Aug 5.

Ran MakeCD -t /tmp -a .., and got this message:

..//Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/bin/perl: error while loading shared libraries:
libperl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This happens with three different cookers, so I'm thinking there is something
wrong with the current dist.

[Cooker] KMail spelling check does not work

2003-08-07 Thread Chris McBrien
Same problem showed up in 9.2 Beta1 and Beta2.

Compose a message in KMail, the choose the "ABC" toolbar icon for spell
checking. It reports it can not proceed as ASpell is not confgured. I
checked and the ASpell rpms appear to be installed.

Has anyone else seen this?
