[Cooker] .Xdefaults with netscape?
Hey, for those of you running Xfree 4.0, are you running imwheel to be able to scroll in netscape or what are you doing? I used to have a nice ~/.Xdefaults setup, with smooth scrolling in netscape and such, but i dont think 4.0 uses that file??? Imwheel has such terrible scrollig and handling of windows and such has anyone come up with an alternative?
[Cooker] wheel mouse still broke!
Hey, My wheel mouse is still broke in XFree 4.0 If anyone has it working, can they tell me what /etc/sysconfig/mouse says as well as thier Pointer lines in /etc/X11/XF84Config? I would greatly appreciate it. I have upgraded imwheel, i have turn gpm off, i have done just about everything to no avail. Thanks, Christopher Campbell
Re: [Cooker] U66 times?
Are these fast times or what? [root@vegan vegan]# hdparm -Tt /dev/hdf /dev/hdf: Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.38 seconds = 92.75 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 17.79 seconds = 3.60 MB/sec [root@vegan vegan]# hdparm -Tt /dev/hde /dev/hde: Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.39 seconds = 92.09 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 18.61 seconds = 3.44 MB/sec
Re: [Cooker] U66 solved
Ok Ok but how do you test the speeds of your drives? My drive supports Model=Maxtor 92720U8, FwRev=MA540RR0, SerialNo=C803RN7C Config={ Fixed } RawCHS=16383/16/63, TrkSize=0, SectSize=0, ECCbytes=57 BuffType=DualPortCache, BuffSize=2048kB, MaxMultSect=16, MultSect=16 CurCHS=16383/16/63, CurSects=16514064, LBA=yes, LBAsects=53177040 IORDY=on/off, tPIO={min:120,w/IORDY:120}, tDMA={min:120,rec:120} PIO modes: pio0 pio1 pio2 pio3 pio4 DMA modes: mdma0 mdma1 mdma2 udma0 udma1 udma2 udma3 udma4 so.. UDMA 4 is the fastest... I dont know what I am running at right now.. is this told in the above information? I mainly want to know if there is a way to benchmark your throughput... Thanks. I compiled my handspring support into the kernel.
Re: [Cooker] Handspring Visor
