[Cooker] Ext3 on my root partition?
Hi, I want to mount my root partition as ext3 but the kernel still mounts it as ext2. Could you please tell me what I need to do to have it mounted as ext3? (Note: The Ext3 is loaded by the ramdisk as the ext3.o module is loaded). Here is the procedure I followed: 1. Run tune2fs -j /dev/hdb1 to create journal 2. Change ext2 to ext3 in /etc/fstab 3. Make ram disk to load ext3 module 4. Change lilo to use ram disk Craig _ http://shopping.yahoo.com.au - Father's Day Shopping - Find the perfect gift for your Dad for Father's Day
[Cooker] KDE Desktop and Panel icons problem
Hi, Have a problem where the desktop icons and panel icons no longer work. When i click on them it brings up the choose program to run dialog. I have also been unable to create a working link to application in a directory either(ie. not on desktop). This affects all icons on dekstop and panel. The kde menu works fine so I am still able to use the system but would like the links on the desktop and panel to work again as they are much quicker when loading common programs. [Cooker] No PPP support in kernel 2.4 rpm
Hi, I have just installed kernel-2.4.0-2mdk.rpm from Cooker and cannot connect to the Internet through Linux. I have discovered that the cause according to pppd is that PPP support is not included in the kernel or as a module. Craig Brown
