[Cooker] network.img and ne2k-pci
using network.img from Dec 22, i tried to install cooker. after i selected my NE2000 PCI and autoprobe for its options i got a message like "Can't find the device on your system". here's what another console printed: /tmp/ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ei_open /tmp/ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ethdev_init /tmp/ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ei_interrupt /tmp/ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol NS8390_init /tmp/ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ei_close
[Cooker] installation from hd
it seems that rawhide can now be installed from an iso image from a hard disk. what do you think about this feature? ps: rh replaced the old method by this one (at least for now). i would like to see both options on DrakX.
Re: [Cooker] libglade requires libasound?
Someone also mentioned the other day that if you paid good money for OSS COmmercial, you wouldn't want ALSA messing with your drivers... i've seen OSS/Not-free and it's not much better than OSS/Free. alsa is much better.
[Cooker] gtk default colors
instead of changing the gtk default colors, why don't you add the HeliX them fo /usr/share/themes? i like the default gtk theme but can't get rid of these helix one. Evandro
[Cooker] kde icons
why are the icons on kde 1.1.2 the old ones? red hat applied a patch to their kdebase that uses the dir /usr/share/icons/locolor by default, the icons there are provided by kdebase-lowcolor-icons. the icons that can't be find there will be replaced by the one in /usr/share/icons/.
[Cooker] rpm groups
i think that should be created some new rpm groups because it's a little messed now. if you install all packages, you get window managers in more than three different groups. so i say someone make a list of all possible groups and packagers change the group of their packages. what do you think?
[Cooker] updates
