Re: [Cooker] ATI all in wonder Radeon How -to
A good starting point is http://gatos.sourceforge.net They will show you what you need to run, to make XFree 4.2x work with the radeon card. For DVD viewing I installed v0.9.1.2 (I know it's a little old) of xine ... works like a charm. Re: [Cooker] NS4 gone?
Well since we are all voicing opinions. I vote to keep it in. I have seldomly had problems with it. If we were removing web browsers based solely on those that have a reputation for crashing, all we'd be left with would by lynx :) -Charlie

Very often, people are booting windows to come asking for help and it is quite hard to explain how they will have to use vi after rebooting. There is a need for a very simple editor installed by default that does not use Ctrl-K D to save a file, and that uses correctly the del and backspace key. The only one we found (thx Woody) coming close to this is pico, but it is embedded in the pine rpm, and i don't know if this package is intalled by default. there's joe too

RE: [Cooker-firewall] SNF and network with 'real' IP adresses
Good afternoon all; [snip] The next firewall will be able to deal with it. When is the next release scheduled for ?? What you can do is to modify/adapt the bastille.conf template and remove all re masquerade section in order to avoid masquerading. Everything should work fine afterwards. cheers, -- Florin http://www.mandrakesoft.com
RE: [Cooker-firewall] Where to get RC1
I found all the latest releases including the rc1 for cookfire @ ftp://ftp.free.fr/pub/Distributions_Linux/Mandrake-iso/ Ingo -Original Message- From: Michael Segulja [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: April 17, 2001 11:04 AM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject:[Cooker-firewall] Where to get RC1 I am having trouble finding RC1, and I guess I must be looking in the wrong place. I went to Mandrake's website, but I can only find Beta2, Beta3, and Beta4 on the mirrors page for MandrakeSecurity. Can somebody help me out? I'm really anxious to download it. Y'all are doing a GREAT job! Thanks, Michael application/ms-tnef
