Re: [Cooker] SiS630
I can use only framebuffer by default or add path to X4.2. There also pathes for kernel which allow to use 3d acceleration on this chipset look at: http://www.winischhofer.net/linuxsis630.shtml for details. I'd like to have full working graphics car btw. Do you have 32 bit resolution as well. I cant do it with standard driver Kuba > Jakub Pas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > There was a lot of questions about sis630 chipset support in > > the 9.0 distribution however there is no completly clear if this > > chipset is already supported or is there a still ugly "LCD bug" on > > laptops. > > would you mind explaining a bit further? [Cooker] SiS 630
Hi. Guy. There was a lot of questions about sis630 chipset support in the 9.0 distribution however there is no completly clear if this chipset is already supported or is there a still ugly "LCD bug" on laptops. So are you going to add fixes to Mandrake 9.0? Jakub -- MSc. [Cooker] sis630
Lot of people claimed for patch for sis630 chpset. It especially caouse famous LCD bug on Laptops: Asus A1330, A1375, A1360, A1368, A1356D, A1358R, A1350D, Mitac 7521, Aristo Sirion, Progress 2800, Asem NB410S, IPC MagicNote/U and Medion 9438. Thomas Winischhofer ( http://www.winischhofer.net/linuxsis630.shtml ). Also made patch for DRI so it is possible to get 3D acceleration on machines based on this chipset. Are you guys planing to do something about that? Kuba
[Cooker] Aurora + Mandrake 9.0

[Cooker] Mandrake 9.0 beta2 + kde + gcc
I have just upgreaded my 8.2 to 9.0 beta2. I have some serious problems with compilation on the new system. It seeams to have serious bugs with gcc 3.2. Although I succesfuly compiled kernel with 2.96. I cant do it with gcc 3.2. The sad thing is that I can't compile any kde application because configure scripts can't find qt-mt with 2.96 and with 3.2 I have many errors reports during "make" pocess. Is there bug in mandrake 9.0 beta or I did something wrong. Best regerds Kuba
