[Cooker] rxvt-CJK crashes with zh_CN.GB2312 locale

2002-03-26 Thread Jun Liu

Dear Cookers,

The rxvt-CJK package coming with Mandrake8.2 is definitely unusable.
Once I export LC_ALL=zh_CN.GB2312 prior to launching gbrxvt/rxvt.cjk,
following error message jumps out and gbrxvt refuses to work.

rxvt: could not obtain control of tty
XIO: fatal IO error 9 (Bad file descriptor) on X server 0.0
after 310 requests (307 know processed) with 12 events remaining.

But if without zh_CN.GB2312 locale, gbrxvt runs happily.

Any way to solve this?

Thank you,

/Jun

[Cooker] weird behavior of DPMS with gnome cooker

2001-12-07 Thread Jun Liu

Hi, all,

I am using gnome-core-1.4.0.4-23mdk and gnome-libs-1.4.1.2-9mdk at the
moment. It seems that gnome always disables DPMS, even when I try to
'xset dpms 300 600 900'.

Anybody else noticed this?

Thanks,

yep, I guess libpng3 package conflicts with libpng2-devel,
if you uninstall libpng2-devel in advance, then no dependency problem at
