[Cooker] urgent
Hi! Few things i managed to fail yesterday (b2): Expert Installation: try to get vim out of your box (manual selection)-> an error has occured that button press destroyed 20 minutes of selecting packages, grrr install (b3) freezes, while detecting ide-cdrom and an promise ide-raid is mounted on that system (one hd on each promise channel, cdrom mounted on first native motherboard channel as slave) running: update-menus still broken, "yudit", cant remember it, menu file is broken, no "\"s in the menu entry changing between different wdms sometimes destroys the font-settings of gnome/sawmill if a cdrom is mounted on hpt366 as slave (2.2.15 + latest ide patch), the system sometimes freezes for one second, sometimes longer, dmesg reports resetting drives, dma disabled (scsi+ide-scsi compiled as modules now) perhaps setting the timeout for the cdrom spinning up should solve the problem? to be continued... Bye, Kai

SCSI + SCSI_CD + IDE-SCSI in kernel->freeze, got it to work yesterday compiled as modules, but, argh, i hate those modules:-( Bye, Kai
