[Cooker] Cooker install problems
Hi, I just installed the latest cooker(20mins old), and theres a couple issues I incountered. 1:HD install freezes in vga mode. I had to use text install. 2:Individual package selection doesn't work. Packages you select and unselect have no effect. 3.Once installed rpm segfaults. Anyone know how to fix this? ex: [root@pimpstation acid]# rpm -qa Segmentation fault [root@pimpstation acid]# rpm --rebuilddb Segmentation fault Machine Specs: 2.4.8-11mdksmp Dual PIII 1Ghz 512mb Ram Abit VP6 MB. [Cooker] Beta2 Sendmail problems
Hi, I know sendmail isn't the default mailer but... I still like it:) Anyways I found two issues so far: 1)With the default sendmail.cf, sendmail spits this out when you start it: Warning: Option: AuthOptions requires SASL support (-DSASL) 2)Becuase my isp blocks me from running a mail server I need sendmail to listen on a different port. When I make the needed change it doesn't listen, this worked perfectly fine in Mdk7.2. The change I made is below, notice I just added "Port=2525, " #SMTP daemon options O DaemonPortOptions=Port=2525, Name=MTA Anyone have any ideas or know how to make postfix do this? Thanks, Keith Conger
Re: [Cooker] Beta2 Sendmail problems
Hi, Sure I do, start sendmail with default sendmail.cf, then look in /var/log/messages, you'll see the error I mentioned. Next I commented out AuthOptions in sendmail.cf and added the line I need to listen on the other port. Then restarted sendmail and it doesn't listen on 2525. [Cooker] Air and Sound Problems
7.0b didn't have this problem but when I run setup then sound services it detects my sound card as a Yamaha OPL3 SAX2. I then hear like one second of Linus then it plays the midi w/o a problem. Now When Ever I play any sound it skips. I then try Lothar and it detects the wrong yamaha card. Please help me. : ) Thanks Keith Conger Loyal Mandrake Supporter
