[Cooker] Apache is running but page will not come up! Todays build!
Apache is running but when I bring up a browser and type localhost nothing happens. It just says waiting to load but never comes up. Could someone please give me a clue as to what the problem is? I have even compiled apache myself... still nothing... I've looked at hosts.allow and hosts.deny but I'm clueless. Other than that install went fine and my system seems to work okay. I chose recommended install when installing. Kip
[Cooker] Todays install
Todays hard drive install went okay with a couple glitches outlined below: 1) I get the following error when setting up my network card: insmod'ing module tulip failed at /usr/bin/perl-install/modules.pm line 496. This error also happens when I install using 7.2. It doesn't seem to cause any harm. Things still work after the installation but it is annoying. 2) The installation of lilo did not work. I had to go to an older install and upgrade then install lilo. I hope this helps, Thanks, Kip
[Cooker] AIC7xxx module problems with kernel 2.4.2-2
Has anyone installed lately and got the AIC7xxx module to work? As of two days ago I got a ton of Unresolveds so I couldn't boot. If no one else has seen this problem I could reinstall and then mail the error message I got. Kip
Re: [Cooker] NEW Mirror SITE of ISO MDK Cooker
The problem that I am seeing is that when I try to install using the iso's created by the script I always get the following error after choosing the partitions: An error occurred nothing found while parsing /mnt/var/lib/urpmi/hdlist.CD 1 Cooker(cdrom1).cz I've been trying to get a good iso for about a week from the mkcd.pl script. Would you happen to know any work arounds for this problem? [Cooker] Error with aic7xxx module
I've encountered a serious error that I would like some advice on. After installing cooker(kernel 2.4.1-7) on my system which happens to have a SCSI AHA-2940U/UW card here is what I see when trying to boot: ... scsi1 : Adaptec AHA274x/284x/294x (EISA/VLB/PCI-Fast SCSI) 5.2.2/5.2.0 Vendor: Model: {garbage} Rev: Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 03 Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 sda: sector size 0 reported, assuming 512. I have seen this problem everytime I have tried kernel 2.4x. I'm really not sure who to send this problem to. Could someone on the list please send this bug report to the correct person. If anyone has advice to get me up and running I would really be grateful. Thanks, Kip _ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
[Cooker] mkcd.pl script problems
After I run the script I only get 2-Cooker-i586.iso and 3-Cooker-i586.iso. The first ISO is not being made. Has anyone seen this problem before? Please help me. As a background I'm running Mandrake 7.2. I upgraded to the cooker glibc2.2 and rpm4. If you need more information please ask. Kip
[Cooker] How to make iso images of cooker??
Hi All, I just joined the list. I would really like to help test the cooker. Does anyone know how to take the mirrored cooker and make one or two iso files from it that will work? I tried making an iso but since all rpms are stuffed in one dir it was huge. How do I know what needs to be on the cd? Thanks for any help, Kip
