[Cooker] ctags and kdbg category.

2002-01-27 Thread L.M. de Vries

Hi,

Could you please add ctags and kdbg to the development category in
RPMDrake. Currently they can only be found in the flat list.

Thanks,

Manuel

[Cooker] Installation Report - latest Cooker

2002-01-26 Thread L.M. de Vries

Hi,

After reading in the list that the first beta is out, I downloaded the
latest cooker and installed it.
The installation went fine, there were only a few small problems:

- The bootloader selection dialog is too small
- After confirming that I do not have any other network cards, I get the
same question again.
  (Old problem still not fixed. I know that it does not do any harm, but
it is still anoying)
- The new Lilo selection menu is very unsharp. Font is hard too read.
- KDE desktop is a bit messy: icons are not aligned.
- Already reported: In the What to Do menu: lesson --> listen

MCC:
- Some icons are missing and displaying question marks:
  - Mount Points
  - System-->Logs-->?
- I could not start DiskDrake for some reason. Tried from MCC and form
menu directly.

Looking at the install.log file I found the following warnings/errors:

glibc-2.2.4-22mdk.i586.rpm Installation CD
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.14491: rm: command not found
execution of %post scriptlet from glibc-2.2.4-22mdk failed, exit status 127

Also the following Perl error was in there several times:

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:

LC_ALL = "",
LC_MESSAGES = "en",
LC_PAPER = "C",

LC_MONETARY = "C",
LC_COLLATE = "C",
LANG = "en"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

To end with something positive: I think the new MCC looks very nice!

Manuel
