I confirm what John Keller said.
6 months after been reported, it's still valid, and it happens only in the case
John Detailed.

Could somebody at MandrakeSoft take care of this ugly bug, please?

Thank you in advance.

The bug is still open, though I gave you a patch more than 3 months ago.
This is also true with another bug I reported which is still open...

Why do you want to let users participate in beta testing
- If you don't take their comments into account and
  don't integrate their patches?
- If you don't try to reproduce bugs that are reported
by volunteers? I'm fed up with the Please check if it is
still valid messages. Some are hardware dependent but others are not.
- If you still release the final version while
some ugly bugs (I'm thinking of network configuration
  issues) are still open?

Hi Helge,

- You're right, my locale is fr_FR.UTF8 (from /etc/sysconfig/i18n), so
that's something in common between both bugs.
- You can get your devices list by using the `lspci' command.

Cheers,

Michael.

Here are 2 things that I forgot to mention:
- The `;2R' command is available from the shell history
- Most of the time shutdown eventually works after several trials
(could be after a timeout in the first command).

Suddenly, as I had just unfolded 'Europe', the Timezone selection

This happened to me twice.
On the 3rd try, I could unfold 'Europe' and select 'Paris'.

I had the exact same issue with 9.1beta1.

Hope this is useful.

Hello,

That's something I've been desiring for very long,
and which is still not present in 9.1 beta2.

That would be very nice to be able to install all available packages:

- After installation, you don't have to go back several times
to the package installer to install tools, headers or libraries
that you missed or that new users ask for. That takes quite a lot of time
during the first days and weeks after installation. That's the main reason.

- Trying to select as many packages as possible is not easy through
the package selection dialog. You have to unfold all lists and sublis
in all software categories, and this is not sufficient, as some packages
are not available in these lists.

- Having all packages available makes it easier to deploy security updates.
You just need to get and install ALL security update packages, and that's all.
You have no trouble because you hadn't initially installed some of the
  packages that need updating now.

I hope there is no technical reason that would prevent from doing that,
as other GNU/Linux distros propose that (Red Hat 8.0's Anaconda, for example).

I suggest other users to vote for this suggestion if they find it useful!

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Cheers,

Michael

http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2572

   Product: drakxtools
 Component: printerdrake
Summary: 'Not an ARRAY reference' error in printer options
   Version: 9.1-11mdk
  Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: P2
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello,

I'm testing 9.1 RC1 in French.

When I click on 'Options de l'imprimante' in printerdrake (Printer options)
I get the below error message:

Une erreur est survenue (An error has occurred)
Not an ARRAY reference

That's all I can report!
My printer is an Epson Stylus Color 810.

Don't hesitate to go back to me for more tests!

Cheers,

Michael
