As a laptop user this was very handy for moving between several static and dhcp networks without having to recreate the entire group of settings. Making new copies of the drakconnect_conf.default with different ending names (ie drakconnect_conf.work) creates new profiles. You can try to use the Wizard to switch between profiles and it will get the Local Area Network IP address configured properly but will fail to get the Internet Access Gateway switched from the last one you used.

http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2703 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-04-02 22:04 --- I have the latest drakconnect 9.1.0. I didn't even notice the fact that the profiles pull down was missing until I bought a wireless AP last night. I have a HP Omnibook with a LOM and Wireless Orinico NIC. Two problems: 1- No profiles 2- After running the wizard, none of the wireless settings are retained. --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEW creation_date: description: The version of DrakConnect that came with Mandrake 9.0 would let an individual create seperate profiles.
