On a virgin MDK 9.1 installation I install tightvnc server, run vncpasswd as
me then add me to the vncservers file i.e
VNCSERVERS=1:me

I start the vncserver...
service vncserver start

Then, as me I view the result...
vncviewer localhost:1

What I see is an empty desktop with the default wallpaper, two small icons in
the bottom-right corner and the mouse keeps flashing busy once every two
seconds or so.

I also see this if I use vncviewer from a remote machine.

I will upload a screen-shot.

My normal graphics mode is 1280x1024x24 and the vnc screen appears to be 1024x768.

Checked against cooker. Most recent version already installed.

This bug is a dupe of 3081. See the discussion on that bug for a workaround.

Perhaps someone with the appropriate authority can mark it as such.

something, but who do I send it to, Warly? I am seeig questions about it all
over the place.

OK Thanks,

If I back-track to libqt3-3.1.1-12mdk does that mean that I lose
anti-alias on anything? Or will the change be otherwise transparent?

Regards...

Upgrading to libqt3-3.1.1-14tex from Texstar has cured the problem on MDK 9.1.

As far as I can tell I have VNC working and AA fonts.
