Thanks for the new bootsplash. But, when I press F2 to see the detail log, the letters became unreadable. I think the new bootsplash are fully drawn in graphic mode, so there is no problem displaying Chinese correctly using correspoding pixel font. Otherwise, disable languages other than western for now.

http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4596 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-09-08 09:13 --- For the same reason, text console in 9.2beta2 is not in REAL text. When I enter console(not emulator) with Ctrl-Alt-Fn, the messages output of GNU tools become unreadable. That is because that, many GNU packages have been translated into Chinese, but MDK console cannot display Chinese. zhcon might help, which can be found at: http://zhcon.sourceforge.net/ -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I've installed 9.2beta2 in zh_CN locale. This package needs some serious patching before it can be updated in contrib. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. --- Reminder: --- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I've installed 9.2beta2 in zh_CN locale. http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4596 --- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-11-08 19:54 --- Yes, there is such line within my sysconfig/i18n. I think the result is caused by the fact new inintscripts and console are in graphic mode instead of traditional text mode. I can see a background picture in tty3.
