I found that I had a previous spooled document in /var/spool/cups. So I erased
and started cups again = no pb... But the I had exactly the same symptom when I
tried to print any new document (either from mozilla, kwrite, gimp, ...) !
For info, I only have one printer (Epson Stylus 600 on lp0) and in my test
config, no other remote printer on lan.
You will find the error_log at the end of this part. You will see at the end of
the error_log that SIGTERM was send : due to the fact that I was 100% CPU and
less than 3Mo of free mem (RAM + swap), I decided to stop manually the daemon.
I hope this will help you to reproduce this bug (I confirm I use MDK 9.2 beta2
and package is 1.1.19-9mdk)

Just after my latest comment, I made new searches about printing packages and I
found that there was a bug in printer-utils which deals with infinite loop...
The upgrade of this package (printer-utils-1.0-109mdk) just solved my problem !
Thanks for your help !

I cannot reproduce this. For me CUPS works just fine. What printers do you have?
How are they connected? How many printers on remote CUPS servers are in your
network. Can you edit the the LogLevel line in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf to be

LogLevel debug

(NOT debug2). Then restart the CUPS daemon (service cups restart) and have a
look in the /var/log/cups/error_log file. Attach it to this bug report (or at
least the relevant parts).

Are you really using Cooker? If you use Mandrake 9.1, you should apply the
available updates.
