I'm glad to hear that because the new emu10k1 drivers doesn't work anymore
with wine if I enable /dev/sequencer. I didn't test -ac patches.
I hope that we will have the right fixes.

that was fixed in latest -ac?, we still have the old driver of emu10k1
in our kernel but we are sure it works.

I don't know. I just compil the 2.4.9 vanilla when it was out. I enable
midi|/dev/sequencer support, and wine no longer works when it tried to play
midi (like for Diablo II ) :(
I didn't test the -ac. I didn't test without this support, and I didn't test
the emu-tools with a 2.4.8 emu10k1 driver.
I'm waiting for the 2.4.10 and let them time to stabilise it and resolve all
their pbs (min/max issue, vm changes, etc ... ) before make some new tests.
I stick with the cooker kernel.

ok 2.4.9 vanilla is definitely broken with emu10k1, latest ac fix it..

it is not, mine works perfectly

try to play Diablo II with wine, you've got an OSS_MidiOpen error, so no
sound and Diablo II don't work at all. I call this : broken !
