Hi!

I think this is because the default 4.0.1 server DOESN'T support NVidia GTS
chipset! You have do download the modules from www.nvidia.com!

Can you look at /root/ddebug.log near the end of the file ?

What do you see about XFree (this is your selection) ?

I selected 4.01 when prompted, but xfree defaulted to 3.3.6 - not sure why??

I have an Nvidia Geforce2 GTS graphics controller, I thought that perhaps
the OpenSource support for 4.01 did not exist and that was why?

Anyway, how can I make it such that 'startx' starts 401?
