The new BETA 2 is a very smooth install.

However, had to do an expert install to get my SiS 300 card installed.

Perhaps choosing X version should be a choice in Recommended install as
well.

Also, KDE audio server is not working but the Gnome audio *is* working.
Does running soundcfg mess up the KDE audio? 

Also, when running harddrake, display is tested with garbage at the top
of the screen and system lockup--could not even ctrl-alt-F1.  This could
be because of limitation of my video card or monitor, or maybe some
other reason. 

Found and configured Zip 250 drive on parallel port at first boot time.
This made printer installation work after boot, also, since the printer
is on the other side of the zip drive.  So far, very good.

Very good work.  Almost ready to stick a fork in to see if it's done.
