As far as I understand it, "strip" removes normally unneeded segments from a binary. However, if you want/need to debug a program, these segments are needed. For us uninformed, what does it mean to have the binaries stripped? -- binaries stripped = does not have extra debug symbols included and other devel stuff is removed (saves space/memory)
