 No, it works fine in 8.1.
As far as I can tell 8.1 came with 4.1 ...
Compupic has been working with my cooker for a long time. It's just in the 
last couple of weeks that it quit.

Anybody using Compupic with the latest Cooker?

With the latest packages Compupic refuses to start. Has anyone noted the same?

with me the same problem, I think it's XFree86 related problem nothing to do 
with cooker, because on my production machine i upgraded only the XFree86 to 
4.2 and it also refused, which is Mandrake 8.1.
