[Cooker] Current menus: unacceptable
Before I start, let me first say this is not a flame AT ALL! This is constructive criticism to try and help you make a better desktop env on your distro. This has gotten way out of hand after I thought some of the problems have been solved. So I did it again and checked out the helix-gnome packages from cooker. The over all enviorment now is cool. But the menus.. heh Well first off. Did one of you people on the gnome team hack the source code up taking away the default main menu size ? Well iirc if someone wants to change the size of the panel in all they can do so in panel properties, this as well changes the size of the menu. Not so with your hack(if it indeed is a hack). Which takes away control and options from the user. Oh you also forgot about the visually impaired : ) Moving right along to the horror of the MMFH. #1. You have the logout and logscreen buttons in a desktop submenu. This is fine if your intent is to confuse and annoy the user. #2 Am I in KDE ? No, so why are programs like Kontrol center or whatever it's called in there and Konqueror. Not only virtually use, but bloat. #3 I complained about this before but I'll do it again. CLI apps should not be in -- Bryan Paxton Go to the room with the chair and wait for your life...
