Never had any problems. So have I, never had any problems. The only catch is passing it the correct parameters during ./configure (or ./autogen.sh) so it works nicely...but outside of that, it's the best Eterm so far. I'm missing a black.png and grey.png... not sure where they are as they're not in the Eterm source. I agree with you on this one tho... 0.9.1 does blow. I'm building a 2mdk right now that fixes the missing icons and requires/buildrequires, but I would personally like to see 0.8.10 back in main... it was much more reliable. -- MandrakeSoft Security; http://www.mandrakesecure.net/ "lynx -source http://www.freezer-burn.org/bios/vdanen.gpg | gpg --import" {GnuPG: 1024D/FE6F2AFD : 88D8 0D23 8D4B 3407 5BD7 66F9 2043 D0E5 FE6F 2AFD} msg71872/pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature

Fix for this is installing libimlib2_1-loaders. Ought to be added as a Requires. This also fixes some of the background images and makes all the fancy graphics for the menus and stuff work... [Cooker] Eterm 0.9.1 blows
Let me count the ways: 1) Unless you hack around it the terminal is set to Eterm which nothing knows how to deal with. Hell even doing "man Eterm" spits out a warning about it not being a fully featured terminal. 2) Missing/incorrect build requires on the package. Name libast-devel, freetype-devel and imlib-devel should be imlib2-devel 3) No icon. [breser@occipital pix]$ rpm -ql Eterm | grep /usr/share/icons [breser@occipital pix]$ 4) Colors are messed up. It thinks yellow is orange etc etc etc. 5) The list of the backgrounds is wrong. Actually none of the backgrounds work that are listed. 6) Try going to the tile menu. The menu jumps away from you every time. How terribly annoying and unusable. 7) Start Eterm from another terminal and look what you get: [breser@occipital breser]$ Eterm Eterm: Error: Unable to load image file "tile/giger1.jpg" Eterm: Error: Unable to locate image "tile/giger1.jpg" in the image path. Eterm: Error: Unable to load image file "bar_vertical_3.png" Eterm: Error: Unable to locate image "bar_vertical_3.png" in the image path. Basically 0.9.1 bites the big one. It needs a lot of work. And considering that cooker is now in freeze it is *NOT* the time to be making this change. Please put 0.8.10 back in. If people really want 0.9.1 put it in contrib and make the packages use update-alternatives to allow people to choose which one they want. Heck even Obsoleting 0.8.10 from the contrib package would be better than replacing it. -- Ben Reser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://ben.reser.org If your love has no hope of being welcomed do not voice it; for if it be silent it can endure, a guarded flame, within you. - The Wisdom of the Sands
