(Sorry if this is in some weird font I am having a few problems with fonts right now !!!)
Hello, I have been looking at the latest proposed changes for the 2.15 kernel tree for the IBM initiated Next Generation Posix Thread (NGPT) changes that were supposed to be making there way to a kernel near us in the new year (i.e. now !!!). This would be good since it will finally bring Linux threading up to the latest POSIX standards and finally give light weight m:n threading. Does anyone have the ear of any of the Kernel developers to ask what is happening on this one ? I don't seem to register enough to get a reply ! I do get replies from IBM and they seem to be as perlexed as I am !!! Thanks, Owen
