[Cooker] Little bugs in 7.2 beta 2

2000-09-16 Thread Michael Stucki

These are some bugs that I have seen while installing Mandrake 7.2 beta 2:

- My Matrox Produktiva 8MB isn't recognized by the setup program. After
selecting it from the list, it works. 7.1 recognized it well...

- I see that inetd is still selected as the standard (I think it should be
xinetd ?)

These are bugs I got after the installation:

- The link for "cups www configuration" uses netscape, even if it's not
installed. What about using konqueror ???

- I have a link "Internet" on my KDE desktop which points to kppp. For
non-ppp-users (for example ISDN), this is irrelevant...

- Harddrake reports my bt878-card twice

- Harddrake recognizes my soundcard (SoundBlaster AWE64, plug 'n pray), but I
have to set the interrupt, dma and i/o manually. Right now, the OPL3 chip
doesn't work. I can only choose i/o port 0x388. This worked with 7.1...

- My ISDN card (AVM Fritz! pnp) isn't recognized by harddrake.

For the second two problems: Is there a way to tell the isapnp-module which
configuration to use? When I look at /proc/isapnp it only reserves an i/o port,
as far as I understand. But it should also reserve an interrupt.
How can I do this ?

I think that's all I got. But compared with beta 1, it looks very promising...
