[Cooker] menu icons in KDE
Hmmm.. was bored, and thought i'd try to figure out why the icons went away in the meus in KDE.. well... after nosing around, seems that the menu thingy is looking for icons in /usr/share/icons.. and that the icons like amusement_section.xpm, application_section.xpm, etc, are not the mini icons, so the menu routines won't display them. Also means that the "open with" menu that pops up in KDE has hugh icons as well. Should this point to /usr/share/icons/mini, or should the /usr/share/icons directory contain mini icons? Vinny

[Cooker] Menu icons
Maybe not the most important currently, but... Menu icons with a solid background really appears odd in menu, especially when using a theme. Transparent background should be a requirement IMHO. Here is already a first list of concerned program, among the one i currently have installed : dia fetchmailconf spruce gnome PPP gnome talk usbview bluefish gdbgnome-notepad gmc gtop bombermaze A quick & simple hack was to use gimp to select icons background with magic wand tool (how do one say 'detourage' in english ?), and cut it. But maybe are they more efficient way ? -- Guillaume Rousse Iremia - Université de la Réunion Plus petites unités de mesure - de longueur : le millimètre - de volume : le millilitre - d'intelligence : le militaire
