Hi,
I am having a failure performing a fresh install via NFS.
I can't create a boot disk when prompted by the install GUI,
also can not generate an AutoInstall floppy and,
finally when I re-boot, I get Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on
03:06.
As I was re-installing, I monitored the error messages on tty3 and tt5,
Each time I wanted to create the boot disk or AutoGenerate disk, the message:
/tmp/floppy.o: error reading ELF header /tmp/floppy.o: no space left on device
also, the message:
/tmp/loop.o: error reading ELF header /tmp/loop.o: no space left on device
was present.
Using a old boot disk, I mounted the hardisk partitions and all things were
installed as expected except the initrd in the /boot was missing. After
creating the initrd image, reboot-ed and then was working fine.
The partitions are formatted for reiserfs.
regards
Dave
