An application dedicated to displaying PDF (gpdf is inherited from xpdf) is always (or will be) better than one that tries to mimic the function just by conversion, isn't it? :) Abel except that sometimes xpdf doesn't work with a pdf file an gv does.

I understand this sentence as GPDF is now the default PDF viewer in Gnome, this doesn't mean that pdf is no longer supported in ggv. The PDF attached in the bug report now looks good in GGV, so the bug should be marked as fixed instead of wontfix :-) Anyway, pdf displaying ability is OFFICIALLY not supported, and can be removed anytime.
