I use grub-0.5.96.1-6mdk.i586.rpm. During rpm -i kernel-2.4.2-7mdk I got this message: dev2grub (#/d) at /usr/lib/libDrakX/bootloader.pm line 541. is this an error message? This is with drakxtools-newt-1.1.5-44mdk. Will try again as soon as a newer kernel is out .] Alexander Skwar -- How to quote: http://learn.to/quote (german) http://quote.6x.to (english) Homepage: http://www.digitalprojects.com | http://www.iso-top.de iso-top.de - Die guenstige Art an Linux Distributionen zu kommen Uptime: 2 days 1 hour 47 minutes

Re: [Cooker] Re: [CHRPM] mkinitrd-2.7-5mdk
Not sure.. seems not the case for me. Running initscripts-5.60-6mdk and grub-0.5.96.1-3mdk here. Detectloader say that: no bootloader on MBR, trying partitions! And I didn't modify /boot/grub/install.sh --- it installs at MBR. This fix mkinitrd always making initrd's. no initrd being generated on kernel upgrade usually comes from detectloader failing to detect lilo or grub. I've fixed detectloader for grub (yet again) some time ago. Maybe it will work better now?
